The Zoo celebrates America Recycles Day (ARD) with special activities to raise awareness of "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" and buying recycled-content products. The Zoo's Resource Management Committee will be sponsoring a computer recycling collection on ARD. We encourage visitors to bring other recyclables to the Zoo that day including cell phones, newspapers & magazines, aluminum cans and inkjet & toner cartridges. America Recycles Day, November 15, is a nationally-recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. Celebrating its 11th year, it has grown to include millions of Americans pledging to increase their recycling habits at home and work and to buy products made with recycled materials.
